So how was your Monday?

I had to get up an hour earlier than normal today because I had to speak in front of over 60 people applying for work. We have a two hour video test and I introduce the staff and talk about the position that is open and try to give some encouraging words to some very nervous people. It is very humbling seeing so many hopeful employees needing a job.
So here I am trying to look and act the professional person I am supposed to be, and after the test I was going to the dry cleaners, and when I opened the door I looked down and saw that I had two different shoes on! Not only were they different colors, but they were BOTH LEFT FEET!! The shoes did feel a bit weird but I just ignored it as I was dashing about getting things set up. The bad part of this is there were three others with me and THEY didn't even notice!!
I just wonder how many of the people being tested noticed!!
Egads! Ya dress me up but can't take me nowhere! And I am only 60!!!

You should make that a question in the interview. Would definitely tell you who pays attention to detail.

I have done that too, only it was in front of all of the officers on base at a staff meeting. Felt like an IDIOT!

That's too funny, Philly! I've done two different socks before - even put my underwear on backwards and inside out - but this is classic. Don't worry - your sense of humor will always keep you young!

I love the idea about the questions...just wanted you to know I have done that...and I did it before 60...I felt very foolish!

You still drive a bus????? Ha ha ha ha! Be sure you get on the right one. TeeHee. You must have really been in a hurry...they aren't even the same color or close to the same color. You are too funny and very brave sharing that with all of us. I had a pair of panty hose coming out one leg of my slacks one time.....talk about wanting to crawl in a hole. Thanks for the laugh, Phyllis. PS....Ed and I loved the piano duet by the older couple at Mayo clinic.

Too funny! I went to work with a black pump shoe and a blue pump shoe on, but you, gal, have NO excuse!

That is funny. Hope if they noticed it made them feel less nervous.

I put the oven gloves in stead of the rubber gloves on to do the washing up once, it's a good job it wasn't the ther way around

I'll bet that you had another pair of shoes almost like the pair you wore, too.

That's funny, Phyllis. You were obviously very absorbed in your work. Good for you being able to tell a story on yourself. God bless you!
